To further my girlie-ness, I bought Maizie a Cabbage Patch, Anastasia Lola. We are going to call her Lola! Then of course I dug through my patterns and found a CP knit sweater booklet and also a CP clothes patterns. Oh this takes me back to when my Grandma made Clement Rodney and I matching jammies! (Mom, do you have any pics of that?) Maybe I'll look through her archives!
Finally, I've been running around the condo trying to move stuff and unpack to get ready for the hardwood installation in a couple weeks. Upon my cleaning the basement, I found some amazing things that I clearly forgot about. When James' parents moved to OH, we kept getting things from them. I found this white trash bag in the basement and forgot about it's treasures. It had a Strawberry Shortcake toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, shower curtain, and hooks for Maizie's bathroom. Another day I will post those pics because the wee-one is napping right now. And also this beautiful cross-stitched crib quilt that James' Grandma Murdock made for him. It however has two quarter-sized stains towards the top. I tried to get them out, which reduced the color by 50%, but it's rust from being stored in a steamer chest. After a trip to Jo-Ann's I found yellow embroidery floss and have come up with a plan to add bits yellow to the whole thing, while covering up the stains. I can't wait to post that finished project. But for now...
