"Come Sit With Me And Have Some Tea"

We have much to catch up on since I've not blogged for over a week. So I encourage you to "come sit with me and have some tea." Today, I made myself a cup of Blood Orange black tea from The Tea Emporium just around the corner from our apartment. It's not overly fruity or citrusy, rather it is a crisp and refreshing black tea.

Onto my first order of business...Do you see him? Do you see that man with his head down? Well I experienced my first CELEBRITY SITING!!! Can you guess who it just from this picture? I'll only give one clue; he's famous for television sitcoms not large production movies.


Finally, it has happened, I knew it would. It has happened every year for the past three years. It usually happens about six weeks before her birthday. Maizie Daisy is going to be 3! This year she has grown up the most. She talks with thoughts, imagination, curiousity, and with sentence structure. I am emotional. Reflecting on this past year and all the changes she has been involved in, I stand in awe that she has gone through it all smoothly. Probably more smoothly than her mother! She adjusted to my pregnancy hormones, she adjusted to Jackson's arrival and continued growth, traveling to Christiansburg, Copley, Vermilion, Kansas City, Toronto, just to name a few. She's adjusted to sleeping in different beds only needing her blanket and baby Sophia! When I think of my precious daughter, I think "Daisies...they're such a happy flower!" That is MY Maizie...she is MY Daisy..she is MY happy flower! So this year her small birthday party is going to reflect that...a daisy shaped cake, fresh daisies in her room, embroidering a daisy on her birthday dress! Maizie held up this Hello Kitty dress at H&M this week, held it up and said, "This is my style!" Gwen & I laughed hysterically! Of course her Mommy had to buy it for! What a special little cherished memory!
