We started watching the show sponsered by Ancestry.com, called Who Do You Think You Are?, I have to say I'm hooked. My paternal Grandfather, Darrell Kenneth Snyder has been gathering our families geneology for as long as I can remember. A couple weeks ago, I was Skyping with Grandpa and mentioned the show. Guess what, I hear he loves it too!
My parents are currently living in my great-grandparents house in the Akron area. This house has much history as it is around 100 years old! I wonder what these walls would say if they could talk! Well they did, sort of! My Great Aunt Marilyn stopped by here tonight and told many a story of her childhood in this home! What simple things and cherished memories she has here. Like playing in the mudroom with clean rags and making a bed for her dolls! Such a girlie thing to do!
I hope this show starts us Americans to seek out our heritage, to listen to the stories of our ancestors!
