"This is the day that the Lord has made!"

When I hope the blinds each morning with Maizie I tell her that "This is the day that the Lord has made!" I find myself each day, when I say this to her, wondering what God has in store for us today! This KC thing has been an adventure. Maizie hasn't been sleeping good at night, which is very unlike her. We've tried everything, piano music, adjusting volume, moving the crib, more paci's, another blankie, etc. Maybe she is teething or maybe she is having a rough time adjusting to the hotel crib. Anyways, that was not the point of this entry. The point is that God has been allowing me some great time with Him. During Maizie's nap, I don't have the issues of cleaning or getting dinner ready, instead I have to sit quietly in bed and read, knit, pray, devos, and listen to music via headphones! I am so glad that God brought us to KC because I could tell my heart was longing for these quiet moments to sit in His presence and just enjoy learning more about Him.
I'm also really enjoying the Word of Promise...listening to God's Word while knitting and relaxing!

I love that you start each day with that verse! I might steal the idea! Lily is not a morning person and that might be a good thought for her!

So I tried that verse this morning as the kids were eating breakfast, already starting to get into it...Of course I went a little more into detail with the whole thing. They listened, pondered, and then asked for orange juice. Maybe it will take a few times to let it sink in. I'll keep at it!
