Today we went out after lunch, just the kids and I for an hour and half. I was little overwhelmed. It's easy to get caught in the hustle-and-bustle of the city life and here I am just trying to remember how to get home. We strolled down this charming street only to realize the shops were not stroller friendly. Each store had about 5 steps. I should've taken a baby carrier. So I've decided to come up with a few goals, to push myself and see the sites.
In a very random order:
-Visit 3 Yarn Shops
-Ride Subway with kids by myself
-Ride Streetcar with kids by myself
-purchase Frye boots
-knit a cowl/scarf for Maizie and I (I saw them for sale at Anthropologie today for $38), you know the one like Mom's hot pink one with a loop through it.
-spend a Saturday morning by myself in the Art district visiting the yarn shop, fabric stores, ribbon store, etc
-sew Maizie 3 nightgowns
-order a BabyHawk
-decorate for Christmas
-find holiday highlights throughout the city
-each week find one recipe I've never made and prepare it for my family
All this is to be done before December 31st, 2009!
