Purple Purl

I need to begin by first boasting about my Husband! I sent him email in the afternoon yesterday and asked if he'd take me here after dinner. He said yes! What a trooper, he printed out a map and away we went! I was on a mission to make the mini-loop scarf thing. Mom even emailed me the pattern yesterday afternoon. How Sweet!

I picked out Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend for Maizie! And Misti Alpaca which is a hand-painted baby suri silk blend for myself!

My project was briefly delayed as I spent 45 mins winding these 3 hanks into yarncakes! Maizie's was first up and was the easiest. It was a little sturdier than mine.

I did make progress!

I always wanted a pretty windowsill to take pics of yarn and projects...now it seems I have one.
