What I've been up to....

Well somehow in between the house work, kids, packing, unpacking, etc these pics make me feel like I've accomplished something of my own...

First Up: A small chipboard scrapbook for each of the kids, I have decided to simplify my scrapbooking life and only pic my fav pic each month of Maizie & Jackson. Scrapbooking ALL of life is just a little to overwhelming at this point. Plus, it's part of my "use-what-I-have" and "simplify-my-favorites" mantras lately.

Next Up: This charming pic was of my 30 mins to myself today. I made a cup of hot tea, finished sewing the ruffled lining to my fav bag and also made two matching projects bags! I've been so inspired to expand my creativity lately and have wanted to sit at the sewing machine and come up with something to suit my knitting style and needs (of course). I have the buttonhole-sensor foot for my Huskyvarna sewing machine and though I've gotten a few reminders from my Mom on how to use it, I needed to just sit and figure it out! Mission accomplished, I did 8 buttonholes, 4 on each project bag at the drawstring opening! Whoooohoooo I am so excited and now feel confident making buttonholes on dresses for Maizie. Once life gets settled in Canada, I am hoping to learn more about all the accessories I have for the "Lisa" and come home with some great new pieces...again the mind is swirling of fun ideas!
