Blog Along- Traveler

Oh Wow, I feel like this one is right up my alley since we're currently visiting family in Ohio and just returned from Cali.

1. 5 Outfits- Wow this is hard, but I've been limiting the outfits I pack for each of us. Typically wherever we go there is a washing machine and dryer, which allows us to pack less and still have clean clothes. On this note, for myself I try to make interchangeable outfits. I pack a few tops that match a cardigan, a necklace that goes with a sweater or a dress, etc.

2. Large Coach Purse- So I feel like this almost shouldn't count but the truth is I just used this as my purse/carry-on. I was able to carry my netbook, camera, phone, novel, magazine, 2 knitting projects, sunglasses, sweater, wallet, and makeup essentials. I was shocked how much I could cram into it! (Sidenote: I would like to thank My Mom, Dad, Grandpa, & Joyce for finding me a great bag at the Coach outlet!) So I'm gearing up to meet my niece Ellie and this bag is the first that I pack! I mean a girl has to have her basics lined-up!

3. Time Management- Though I can plan 5 hours for a trip with the kids, I convince myself that it's really going to be 6.5 hours, then if we arrive early, I am surprised!

4. Boundaries- It's hard sometimes to want to be so adventurous but realize that the kids and I need downtime. So we try not to over plan our travels and establish boundaries. I recognize that some mornings we just need to stay in and play. I am flexible with the kids schedule on vacation, but I try to limit the day to one activity. I will also plan for a longer stay, if the adventure list is long.

5. Eye Mask- This makes me laugh just thinking about it. But I've found that I can sleep almost anywhere if I have an eye mask. Silly I know, but ooohhhh so true!

I love these! And I can't wait to test out my Coach bag on a trip, like to Canada!
